These images represent: our time in the great city of Galway, travel around Ireland (both on our own, with friends, and with my parents), our Tuesday night dinners, travel to Scotland with Scott’s parents, backpacking, Mark and Eszti’s wedding time in Hungary, moving into our cozy apartment, Scott’s hiking trip to Colorado with my dad and brother, Scott’s mom coming to visit us, time at Thanksgiving with my family, time at Christmas with my sister’s family and getting to meet Simeon (our new nephew), time with Scott’s family in Ohio and his sister and brother-in-law’s vow renewal ceremony.
We are thankful for the countless things these events imply: God’s provision, faithfulness and presence throughout the whole year. It is incredibly valuable for me to look back and be reminded that he is God Immanuel, God with us.
This year has included tough transitions, emotional goodbyes, and heart-wrenching struggles, but in the same way, God has been with us in those too. We can see Jesus at work through it all. And, for that, we can give Him endless praise. As we walk into another year with maybe even more unknowns, we can cling to God’s steadfastness.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 100:4-5)
