Day at El Puente

Yesterday we went on a field trip to El Puente with the staff (and their families) from El Sembrador. The place was kind of like a recreational park with lots of pools and slides, a field for soccer, and a restaurant for lunch. There were cute tiki huts around and the whole day was filled with fun. We were also celebrating day of the child, which was last weekend, so there were presents for all of the children that came–even a pinata to hit too! Scott and I talked with several of the missionaries for a while and felt like we got a chance to get to know some of them much better. We also got to eat some Honduran cuisine–beans, rice, pico de gallo, plantains, and beef, or we could have chosen the whole fish with the eyes still staring at you. What a way to celebrate one month of marriage!
